2011 ASHRAE Technology Awards: Adaptive Reuse for Clinics
The LEED Gold Marin Health and Wellness Campus located in San Rafael, Calif., is the second health-care project in California to be LEED certified. The once vacant campus consists of five light industrial concrete tilt-up buildings. The project expects to save 374,828 kWh/yr of electricity and 21,000 therms of natural gas, avoiding 139 tons (127 000 kg) of CO2 emissions.Citation: ASHRAE Journal, vol. 53, no. 4, April 2011
