Basics of Atrium Smoke Control

Smoke is recognized as the major killer in building fires. Smoke control in large-volume spaces is based on a long history of experience and research going back to the 1881 Ring Theater fire in Vienna that killed 449 people. This article discusses best practices for atrium smoke control.
