LA-2567 -- Optimum Heat Transfer through Turbulent Recirculated Plane Air Curtains

This paper looks at the relationship between the heat transfer through a recirculated air curtain and the deflection modulus of the air curtain. It develops and demonstrates that there is an optimum flow velocity for the air curtain so as to seal the doorway and minimize the heat transfer.
