Keeping Cool: Timeline of Refrigeration

The centennial of the founding of ASHRAEs predecessor society, ASHVE, was celebrated in 1994. That celebration included publishing Heat Cold: Mastering the Great Indoors. The original manuscript featured a chronology of significant innovations in HVACR. However, space limitations precluded its inclusion in the book. For the American Society of Refrigerating Engineers centennial in 2005, the original chronology was updated with the ACR information excerpted.
