This Practice describes the requirements for design, fabrication, inspection, testing, and shipment of medium voltage metal-enclosed load interrupter switchgear for installation in non-classified areas. This Practice covers assemblies for medium voltage application for nominal 2.4 kV to 38 kV, 60 Hertz systems.

This Practice does not include no-load interrupter switches.
