This test method covers the determination of bulk specific gravity of compacted bituminousmixtures.

This method can be used with samples that contain open or interconnecting voids or absorb morethan 2.0 percent of water by volume, or both (Note 1).

Note 1--Water absorption by volume is determined using T 166; this specification does notcontain a direct determination of the water absorption by volume.
