Full Description

This method describes a means for calculating the cetane index of diesel fuels from the aniline point, distillation, density and viscosity. The index, as computed from the prescribed formula, is termed the CGSB Cetane Index (CI). It is not applicable to fuels containing cetane improvers.

The testing and evaluation of a product against this method may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous.
