Full Description

This method describes a procedure for the quantitative analysis of binary mixtures of triacetate with the following fibres, by removal of the triacetate component: acrylic, cotton, nylon 6 and 6,6, polyester, viscose and wool.

If the types of fibres present in the mixture are not known, they must be identified before quantitative analysis is undertaken (par. 10.1).

The accuracy of the results obtained with this method will be decreased by the presence of nonfibrous finishes that cannot be removed.
