Full Description

This method describes a procedure for the quantitative analysis of binary mixtures of polypropylene fibres with nylon 6 or 6,6, triacetate and acrylic fibres by removal of the polypropylene component.

If the types of fibres present in the mixture are not known, they must be identified before quantitative analysis is undertaken (par 11.1).

The accuracy of the results obtained with this method will be decreased by the presence of nonfibrous finishes that cannot be removed.
