Purpose. The standard shall define the Design Validation (DV), Production Validation (PV), Post-validation Audit (PVA), measurement conditions, performance requirements, and the minimum durability specification requirements of various forms of coolant to air heat exchangers used for cabin heating.

Applicability. All passenger vehicles using coolant to air heat exchangers used for cabin heating.
